Failures are good. Mistakes you have made, bad decisions, failures are there to teach you something, teach you what does not work, what you should not do in the future. And if you really do learn from your mistakes, then how the hell can they be bad, they gave you a lesson and you learned from them. And learning is always good.

While at first, after making a mistake, depending on what it was, you might feel pretty down, but think of it this way – how does that help you? Yes, you might have done something very wrong, but usually you can’t change what you have already done, you can, however, change the way you do things in the future.

Just yesterday I had a really bad situation. You know, I have postponed going to driver’s school for a number of years. Now about a month ago I did that I actually went to school to get a driver’s license. The day before yesterday I had a pretty big party, yesterday 13:00 I had a driving lesson. After 30 minutes the instructor stopped the car and said I’m drunk. This was one of the worst moments of my life. Especially as I hate drunk drivers.

I was sure I was sober. I drove like I was sober. There had been enough time between my last beer and the driving lesson. I still think I was sober. But the instructor said I smelled like alcohol. And I can’t disagree with that, because I didn’t smell anything, he did.

Now, this is really a bad situation, glad he didn’t call the cops. Getting arrested for drunk driving before you even get a license is not a good idea, is it? We’ll see how things go today, if I even get another lesson. But I did learn something from all of it. The numbers don’t always add up. There can be enough time between finishing your last beer and starting to drive but it might not mean anything. And I possibly need an alcoholmeter.
